This incredible 5 day in the field photography workshop will cover the entire Oregon Coast from Bandon to Astoria and everywhere in between! This isn’t going to be your average photo tour, but a complete landscape photography workshop experience from start to finish! Pre-Workshop Portfolio Critiques/Reviews will be offered to all attendees. One on One or partial group processing & image review sessions will be offered throughout the workshop providing instant feedback for your images captured along the way. Night Photography instruction will be offered on at least one clear night during the week. Prizes from Exposure Northwest Photography sponsors will be given out at the close of the workshop. Sponsor provided materials will be available for use during the workshop as well including Lee Filters, Tamron Lenses & More!
Day One: Bandon to Samuel H Boardman Sunrise: 6:53am (High Tide) Sunset: 7:11pm (Med Tide)
The workshop will kick off on the Southern end of the coast in Bandon. After a post sunrise breakfast, I will work with students as needed to ensure a basic understanding of manual exposure techniques, manual and auto focus processes, the relationship between shutter speed & aperture and use of Neutral Density Filters before traveling further south down the coast where we will spend the remainder of the day at Samuel H Boardman State Park putting these tools into practice in one of the most rugged & beautiful areas along the Oregon coast. After sunset we will travel the 1.5 hours back to Bandon where we will spend the night and get ready for the 2nd leg of our adventure!

Day Two: Bandon to Yachats High Tides in the morning, low tides in the evening.
The second day of the workshop will begin back in Bandon and will proceed North up the coast with stops along the way at Bullard Beach State Park, Shore Acres State Park & Cape Arago State Park among others. The second half of the day will be spent in the area around Yachats including Cape Perpetua, Spouting Horn & Devils Churn. The second day will end with sunset at Thor’s well just outside Yachats.

Day Three: Yachats to Pacific City
The third day of the workshop will begin at Seal Rock State Park and will proceed North up the coast with stops along the way at Devils Punchbowl, Boiler Bay, Neskowin & Short Beach before ending the day at Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City.
Suggested Lodging for Monday night is in Pacific City or Lincoln City. There are many options. Please send me a message for specific suggestions for this day along the route.
Day Four: Pacific City to Cannon Beach
The fourth day of the workshop will begin back at Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City and will travel North up the coast with stops along the way at Garibaldi, Oswald West & Ecola State Park before ending the day at either Hug Point or Cannon Beach.

Day Five: Cannon Beach to Astoria
The fifth and final day of the workshop will begin in & around Cannon Beach and proceed North along the final leg of our journey with stops at Arcadia, Indian Beach & Astoria before ending the day at the shipwreck of the Peter Iredale inside Fort Stevens State Park.
Meals, lodging and any other travel related expenses such as gas, are not included in the cost of the workshop. By not being inclusive, the costs of the workshops can remain lower and provide each registrant with the flexibility to decide their own lodging & travel preferences.
The closest major airport to Bandon, Oregon is Southwest Oregon Regional Airport (OTH / KOTH). This airport is in North Bend, Oregon and is 28 miles from the center of Bandon, OR. You can also fly into Portland, Oregon PDX and travel by car to Bandon, Oregon.
